If I had to choose a favorite senior guy to photograph it would have to be Tyler!   He was a natural in front of the camera.  He took directions well and was willing to try new things, even in the middle of town and even when they made him feel silly. Tyler, when I need to try out a new location, you're my new go to guy!
Your senior year is now over.  I hope you have a great summer and best of luck as you begin college in the fall!

Sneak Peek for Devin : Senior 2011

When Devin and her mom contacted me to do Devin's senior pictures I was thrilled when they said they wanted to style the whole shoot with a vintage flair.  We met a month before her session, shared our visions, talked about props and giggled with excitement about the possibilities.  It rained almost daily for several weeks after we met.  Floods, tornadoes, hail, you name it.  It has been one crazy spring!  I checked the 5 day forecast and was delighted to see that the day we picked to shoot called for SUN!  We arrived at the session location, the sun was shining but there were gail force winds.  Better than rain.  We began to shoot and the winds blew in clouds and the clouds threatened to rain on us.  But we stuck it out and got some amazing photos.
So, Devin, here are a few images to tide you over until I get more processed this week.  So far to date this has been my favorite senior session!!

Meet little Miss K.  She just celebrated her first birthday.  She was so sweet, ready to play and explore.  Loved blowing kisses and especially loved eating her birthday cake!  Here's your sneak peek Seth and Nicole!

What do I wear?

I get asked this question a lot.  My standard answer is:  wear what you feel comfortable in.  If you're wearing something that doesn't fit well, suit your mood for the day or express your uniqueness then chances are you won't be able to give me your true personality to capture.  I'm not afraid of bold colors or prints.  Bring em' on!

I was online browsing for some style ideas for an upcoming client and found this great site that had a lot of outfits put together.  Some were extreme, but these caught my eye and made me think that my senior girls and family moms could wear these outfits and shine.

Welcome to the world little Drake.
From the looks of these pictures it appears as though you slept through your whole photo session.  Only your mommy and I know the truth.  You were awake most of the time and didn't want to miss a thing.  But after a little feeding it was off to the land of lullabies.

Little K wasn't much into smiling for me, but he was a trooper throughout the session; 

especially for a Cheerio!
